Quilting
One of my favorite pastimes is making quilts, here’s a collection of my recent completed projects.
All quilts were pieced by me and quilted by longarmers in Oregon.
The Then Came June, Goldie quilt pattern was used to make this throw-size quilt. I chose a mix of prints and solids in plain and dobby weaves to create a unique layout, with each block complimenting the others. The quilting is done is a repeating celtic knot pattern using a sand colored thread. The rounded stitching contrasts the straight lines found throughout the quilt piecing.
This throw-size quilt was designed by me, using a secondhand fabric panel with unique typography. To emphasize the type I surrounded it with a black & white checkerboard, then a black border, and finally finished it with white binding. The stitching was chosen to compliment the geometric patterns already found in the quilt and the color of the orange background.
